Recordation and Registration of Orchards and Packinghouses:Ensure that the orchards and packinghouses where the fruits originate have been recorded by the competent agricultural department of the exporting country and have obtained registration jointly approved by the General Administration of Customs of the Peoples Republic of China and the exporting country. The registration information should include the enterprises name, address, and registration number.

Before signing an import trade contract or agreement, it is necessary to apply to the customs for the quarantine approval procedures for imported fruits and obtain the Peoples Republic of China Animal and Plant Quarantine Permit for Entry.Submit Application Materials:
The applicant can submit the application through the Internet + Customs platform of the General Administration of Customs in the animal and plant quarantine module.Wait for Review:The customs will complete the review within 20 days and issue the Quarantine Permit or the Notice of Non - approval of Quarantine Permit Application. The Quarantine Permit is valid for one year from the date of issue. Within the validity period, it can be imported in batches within the permitted quantity range and can be used across years.Hygiene Requirements:All materials used for packaging must be clean and hygienic, and used or contaminated materials cannot be used.Wooden Packaging:

Packaging Materials
Fruit Varieties and Sources:Each packing box needs to be labeled with the fruit variety and the exporting country in Chinese or English.
Orchard and Packinghouse Information:The name or registration number of the orchard and packinghouse needs to be indicated to ensure the traceability of the fruit source.
Special Labeling:Each pallet needs to be labeled in Chinese or English: Exported to the Peoples Republic of China or Exported to the People’s Republic of China. The same labeling should be adopted on packing boxes without pallets.

Packaging Methods
Pollution Prevention:Fruits exported to China need to be packed and stored separately from fruits that do not meet the requirements for export to China to avoid cross - contamination.
Damage Prevention:The packaging needs to be strong enough to prevent the fruits from being damaged during transportation.
Breathability:For fruits that need to breathe, the packaging materials need to have good breathability to maintain the freshness of the fruits.

In addition to general trade - related documents, the Quarantine Permit and the phytosanitary certificate of the exporting country/region need to be submitted during import.Requirements for Phytosanitary Certificate:

Disinfestation treatment:For fruits found to have quarantine pests or other problems, disinfestation treatment is required, and they can be released only after passing the treatment.
Return or destruction:For fruits that fail the inspection and quarantine and have no effective disinfestation treatment methods, they need to be returned or destroyed.
Suspension of import:Under certain specific circumstances, such as the outbreak of a serious plant epidemic in the orchard or processing factory area, or the discovery of quarantine pests of concern to China, the Customs may suspend the import of relevant fruits.
